Just received a ghost update. Is that a good sign or are those pretty common?

I am guessing it is similar to the bullshit they were doing when approving applications. Some people that applied in January, Feb 2021 got their COPR before I did and I applied August 2020. There's not rhyme or reason to what they do. I think they get so many applications and they start moving...

It really is ridiculous. It is easier to travel in and out of Canada now as a tourist than having PR with no card.

Seems like its taking around 5 months to process applications from what I've been reading in the last card approval posts?

Does the application ever show if they received the photos? Mine were received back in June and I was able to link my account on July but there is nothing there

Has sending a new app to Sydney ever worked? lol. The system is so messed up. It took them 2 weeks after receiving my application for them to process it and only then was I able to link to my account. This was over a month ago and there are no updates or anything.

Does ECAS allow you to see your status? How does that work? I am trying to link my PR application to my account but it won't work.

I think what he's trying to say is that ultimately it is the OP's choice. He's trying to ask a medical question on an immigration forum and really it is only up to him if he wants to travel or not.

Same here, I sent my picture and letter last week and they arrived to the visa office a couple of days ago. I've been trying to link my application since but no combination of info works. Do I have to wait a bit longer? I have been trying to use my last name and UCI. Is there any way to obtain...

I submitted mine August and they were done by November last year. I am applying inland though so it might be different if you're out of the country.

They were checking June applications last week weren't they? I think that's what the site said. Maybe they are moving forwards and they'll get to August soon.

Do you mind telling me what the title/sender of your email was? I am worried maybe I got something in my email and i missed it. Maybe it went to spam or something and got deleted. I want to do a quick search but I have way too many emails lol

I recently received my GMCS notes and the comments said that everything was passed except security (was left blank). Apparently the final recommendation to approve my PR was given in December 2020 so I do not what is taking them 6 months to do... They also never updated my express entry portal...
