No, it was my first semester in university, my enrollment date was fairly late comparing to the majority of the students, I was unable to find one more course to fit in my schedule to satisfy full-time status. (Just a remainder, definition of "full-time" status is defined by the school you attend)

I had 1 semeter in parttime(2015), and I provided a letter of explanation of what was going on. Applied on May 28, No updates yet.

Applied on May 28th, no updates so far. I don't really expect any updates till school starts, where they can clear their backlogs on study permit applications.

Unfortunately I am not knowledgeable to answer that. I would guess the start date of your permit is the date that IRCC issues your permit but not the date you applied. Wish you all the best by the way, things are tough now.
