Good idea although i dont think anything would work. I dont get it honestly, waiting for PR makes sense because there is lots of background and documents checks to do but like waiting for a PR card 6 months or more is ridiculous...it's just a card that needs to be printed there is no processing...

I contacted ircc through a representative...my file is in Sidney NS no updates. They said due to covid proceasing is taking a long time.. For fucks sakes they just need to print a card i dont see what processing is needed.. A friend of mine got PR in vanvouver last month and already received...

It's so stupid to make some people submit photos through mail and make them wait 6+ months while others get asked to submit photos online and their application gets processed in 1 month...same Visa Office, very frustrating

Omfg this is hilarious...8 months or more to process PR application and then another 6months just for PR Card...

That might depend on your home country Hard to take that bet when you are not flexible with return date

Can they tell me if the mail i sent them with photos was received? I was stupid enough to not save the tracking number for the canada post mail i sent them

Congrats! It's such a big mess! People who were asked to submit PR card application by mail have been waiting for 4 months and if you are lucky enough to get PR through portal you get your card in 3 weeks. I submitted my application on May 4th still waiting lol

First week of May no update, i will just ignore it and go on with my life lol Someday we gonna have that card!

I sent the photo with a regular canada post with no tracking, can i call ircc and ask of my documents are received? I didnt use express post as I was thinking that once they receive the documents my application status will be changed but nothing happened

I think you are entering the place of birth incorrectly it shall be exactly the same as your passport without country. Usually the place of birth looks like this "SomeCity /someCountry" For place of birth when linking you should enter exactly "someCity"

did you get the PR card or still waiting?

The timeline for PR card is ridiculous...for 4 months you will be stuck even if you need to travel outside Canada for an emergency you cant otherwise you will get an even bigger problem...they should do something about this

Ottawa VO? I dont think so People who got it earlier are either the lucky ones who got to submit photos online via the new PR portal or some lucky ones in less busy VOs like Vancouver
