    It's the complete silence from the government that is so frustrating. Also, why are some January applicants getting OWP approved before applicants from October, November, December? Maybe they are medical professionals, but still. My gut instinct is that many people simply won't get OWP...

    I'm hoping that I am wrong, maybe they will make an exception for OWPs since they are technically part of PR applications, which continue to be processed. Or maybe they simply won't be processing OWP paper applications that arrive after July 1. Fingers crossed

    Agreed. I hope I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling about this. They should be more up front about whether open work permits already received will be processed or not, since they are part of PR application. If they won't be processing them, refunds must be issued

    Yeah, it looks like OWP applicants may have to wait until their PR gets approved in order to be able to work. Note that it doesn't say paper applications received on certain dates will continue to be processed, but that paper applications in general will not be processed at all. They haven't...

    It looks like any paper applications for work permits that haven't been fully processed will not be processed at all, for how long who knows. I'm guessing that PR+OWP applicants will have to wait until PR is approved in order to be able to work.
