Exactly, that’s the point. Be patient – it’s a long ride. Sometimes we get anxious when there are no updates for months, but there’s really nothing we can do. We’ve already spent years waiting for PR, so a couple more months for citizenship is nothing in comparison. Patience is the mantra- d-pen

I guess it’s just a random pattern since my spouse and I have to take the test, even though our background checks are completed and all the other steps are still in progress. And for my dependent daughter, there haven’t been any updates at all – no background check or anything.- d-pen

I did not receive any updates, but I noticed today that the background verification was marked as completed on July 4th – at least that’s a positive sign, and it seems like the files are moving forward.- d-pen

Submitted on May 27 and received AOR on June 26. You might have to wait another week or so, as it could be on the way, but it really varies case by case. I’ve seen many people mention that applications submitted at 1096-1097 days are getting AORs later. Applying so close to the minimum...- d-pen

It clearly asks, “Do you have the bio page?” and says to upload the bio page(s) of the document. So we just need to upload that – no need to scan all the pages and upload unnecessary ones.- d-pen

The question is asking whether she has immigration or citizenship status in another country — such as permanent residency, a visa for long-term stay, or citizenship — not whether she has visited as a tourist.- d-pen

Thanks for the update. For me, it shouldn’t be too difficult — that embassy handles the fingerprinting and forwards the paperwork to Japan. It takes time, but the process is free. Glad to have received the AOR this morning, though there's no update on the PCC yet. Let’s see how it goes.- d-pen

Hmm… that won’t be enough time for me. I believe I’ll be asked to provide a PCC, and 60 days likely won’t be sufficient. It usually takes at least 3–4 months after visiting the Japanese embassy to request it. Let’s see how things unfold. Hopefully, I’ll receive the AOR within the next 10 days...- d-pen

It's for Japan, so it shouldn't be too difficult. I just need to book an appointment at the embassy to provide fingerprint & fill up 2 pages, and they require some form of proof—an email should work for that. The only issue is that the process is time-consuming and might take 3–4 months. Let's...- d-pen

If your 3 years and 10 days don’t include the 2 months you were outside Canada — meaning those 1,105 days are all actual physical presence within Canada then you're in the clear. In that case, it should be pretty straightforward, and there shouldn't be any issue for them to issue the AOR...- d-pen

Yes, I did that and am currently waiting for the AOR. I’ve been in Canada for the past 3 years, and before that, I was living in another country. While submitting the application, I included a note explaining that since I had already submitted a PCC during my PR process, I believe it may not be...- d-pen
