!!! I'm somewhat baffled by US applicants who are getting their COPRs recently... I sent in my passport copies in early March and still haven't heard back :( I'm not sure whether this should give me hope or dread.

I have the same timeline as you (sent March 14th) - but I sent passport copies instead of my official passport. I can't imagine the stress of being without your actual passport for so long! I also get the same frustratingly vague email responses to my webforms.

Seems completely random. One time they responded the next day. One time it took them a month. Once never at all :/

It appears that you have to be in Canada to apply? Are you? "To send a request you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently in Canada. " Unfortunately I'm currently living in the US :/
