Thanks! I think the eligibility check is more to do with checking that your work experience is consistent with your NOC requirements. Honestly no idea what the background verification is though!

This is great news! I received my GCMS notes yesterday and my eligibility hasn't started yet (application was last reviewed in April), but hopefully this means things are moving again.

I requested them about 4 months after I submitted my application

Yep, my last reply from them stated that my eligibility had not been initiated. I used getgcms.com to get my GCMS notes.

Not yet, I sent another webform off last week but they haven't responded yet. I haven't received any ghost updates or anything like that since April so I'm not sure they've looked at it yet :(

It was the same for me when I sent a webform last month. My GCMS notes stated that my 'client information' is set for review which I assume is the reason my application is delayed.

My UK masters was validated as equivalent to a Canadian masters by WES, I'm not sure if it's the same for all UK masters but I didn't have any problems. Also, I'd check if your university can send a validated digital copy of your qualifications over to WES. My university did this and it made...
