I'm a US citizen and completed PR landing at an airport, and then returned to the US a week later. When I landed, I listed my car under goods to follow. Am I able to briefly visit Canada in my car, without having to export it?

The IRCC website used to say that you could land as a permanent resident, regardless of when your COPR was issued, if "you’re currently living in the U.S. and will be coming to Canada directly (transiting through the U.S. to Canada doesn’t apply)"...

Congrats to folks who are getting their documents. Who all still is waiting on their COPR after sending passports/passport copies to Ottawa? I've been waiting since mid-March, from the US.

I'm on the same timeline (passport copies sent to Ottawa in mid-March) and am still waiting. Glad to hear there is movement!

Similar story here. Last week, the IRCC phone representative said Ottawa halted processing applications for out-of-country applicants to prioritize in-country applicants and they didn't have an estimate of when they'll restart.

Still waiting as well, my passport copy from US arrived in Ottawa Mar 17th.
