11 month CEC - confusing response from IRCC

THere are 2 parts to it though...one is to have one-year exp counted by CEC using 1560 hours calculation. Other is 50 points for job offer which you only get if you answer YES to this question - Has the applicant been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least...

11 month CEC - confusing response from IRCC

You may not even be qualifying for 67 FSW points... Read about it...You must qualify for atleast one program to get your profile admitted to the pool. I would suggest creating the profile a month before your 1-year completion. You should get eligible for both FSW and CEC when IRCC considers your...

CEC - Has the applicant been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year?

thanks for your response...you're right, I don't want to take any chances either given that my one year date is just 6 days away but looking at the last draw, I am worried they might stop doing CEC draws and that would make it very hard for me to get the invitation. I guess I will just bite the...

    Work experience requirement within Canada

Hey scylla, related question. I will complete one year on a closed WP with my current employer on Sep 21st. However, when I created my profile on Aug 18th, IRCC accepted my profile in EE under FSW and CEC both. I think it's because they counted 1560 hours requirement. I got points for CEC as...

Traveling on visit visa and later changing/converting to ICT work permit

That is correct and it also requires employer to be eligible as per IRCC rules. Mostly employers are but it doesn’t hurt to get that confirmation explicitly from your employer that your application is classified as GSS eligible for 2 weeks processing.

Sure. Ask your HR/Attorney to make sure that its filed under GSS category. It requires certain NOC code and employer participation.

Traveling on visit visa and later changing/converting to ICT work permit

File your ICT WP ASAP. You could very well get it approved before December. Most of the impacted folks who are in this situation were hurt by biometrics (offices were closed for almost 4 months). If it comes down to filing B2 to legally stay in US, ask your employer to not terminate the...

Change of Status from H-1B to B-2 (ICT filed)

I know lot of folks are in this situation (me included) where they applied for WP before their H1B expiry in US but due to COVID delays ended up needing B2 visa filed to legally stay in US. This is not common for IRCC so they must be doing background check with USCIS which is adding to further...

Urgent - Biometrics in USA in USCIS center

It is taking the appointments. May be they need to update their system for viewing and confirming appointment. They are returning same entry for whatever search criteria you put. Pretty straightforward that they have a glitch in the system.
