My COPR document says it can be used as a proof of PR up to 1 year (since COVID is delaying PR cards). The bank seems to be in the wrong here.

There is an expiry date on my COPR document which is 1 month after it was granted. I am requested to submit photos before its expiry. However the document says I can use the COPR document as a proof of PR status up to 1 year because COVID can also delay getting the PR card.

I actually called them on Tuesday after seeing two ghost updates back to back. They told me everything was still in progress so I assumed I was gonna wait another couple of months. If you get ghost updates expect good news soon.

I’m Aug 5th too. I’m gonna call in a couple days at my 7 month mark and see what’s up. I’ve never received any ghost updates and everything was still in progress when I called late January.

Thanks! We are supposed to receive $100 back as this is a permit “extension” not an issuance of a new one. I haven’t received the money yet. That might take a few days.

Hey everyone, I received my extension approval today. I applied on Feb 10, so it took a total of 20days just to let you know. I have some peace of mind while waiting for my PR now. Does anyone know how we are supposed to receive the new work permit? Will they send it in mail?
