Anyone thinks that this FSW draw is a one-time thing and there will be other CEC draws as well?

Everyone above 460 has a great chance! Normalcy has been restored. Finally, Canada back to having immigrants selected via merit.

You need to show that on the day you received the ITA, you had the experience that you got points for. It is a well-known bug in the EE system that it awards points before it is supposed it. This question has been posted countless times on every thread - do a search to find out how to handle it.

If PNP programs are giving nominations to CEC with 450 scores when EE cutoff is 440, why would a candidate act on the NOI? It's the PNP programs who are wasting spots. They should be giving it to folks who would never cross the cutoff.

I think FSW will restart in July. June seems too early given Ontario extended their lockdown.

Incorrect. Did you look at the list of universities I posted? That list has appeared on official state dept websites - https://www.state.gov/chinas-military-civil-fusion-strategy-poses-a-risk-to-national-security/ To give you an example, Tsinghua (MIT of China) is classified as high risk and...

Fair enough. It remains to be seen how this will be implemented and how strictly is it enforced. This is billion of $ in lost money if all visas are banned (which will probably not happen).

Perhaps, but the graduate population in STEM fields in US is 45% Indians, 45% Chinese and 10% Rest of the world. That's a big population.

Chinese students in US in trouble - https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspension-entry-nonimmigrants-certain-students-researchers-peoples-republic-china/ Looks like a lot of university students will be affected. Lot of top universities high risk for US -...

Perhaps this is the end of FSW as we know it. Doubt we will have FSW this whole year. Feel very sorry for folks who will lose points.

Tough situation. Do everything you can to get the letter. Even if that means traveling and showing up at the workplace, talking to other teammates, whatever.

Oh man one of my friends had the same problem. Me and him worked for Goldman Sachs and Goldman refused to give anything other than the regular employment verification letter. He got a letter from some former teammate but those letters are usually hit or miss. Fortunately, he had enough work...
