Thanks, I meant the first response from VFS not the whole process. But they contacted today for additional payment as they updated their service fees. For those who may be wondering, it took 10 days VFS to contact us after passports are first delivered to the VFS office.

If you have recently completed biometrics, it’s referring to that. It doesn’t mean your application is finalized.

Yes, they gave me exactly the same answer. They said the announcement was only for these two days (Thursday and Friday). Even if it is closed, they are processing the passports as usual - as they said. The tone of the announcement is harsher than this, but I think we don’t need to worry.

Thank you! I wish they included more information on how to proceed because right now we are not sure where to send our passports. I guess we’ll see. But you are right, applications must be processed as usual as long as Ankara office is open.

Update: I also received OPR today.

The date of the announcement is June 29, but the announcement indicates 26th November. It’s really confusing. “The Canada Visa Application Centre in Istanbul, Turkey will remain closed from Thursday, 26th November 2020 until further notice due to the Covid-19 outbreak.”...

Hi! My partner received OPR yesterday, no update about SOWP. We have just found out that VAC Istanbul is closed until further notice starting today. Do you have any information whether we should still send passports to them?

Yes, definitely check the website regularly. There was no available slot in October last week on Wednesday when I called them and November slots were not even available yet. I just kept checking website and I was able to get an appointment on Friday, I guess someone cancelled their appointment...

Not all of them. I know that Is Bankasi issues that in English but QNB Finansbank doesn’t. You need a translation for all documents in Turkish.

Hi, could you please explain how did you confirm this? Because, I spoke to them just yesterday and they told me that their Covid readiness plan was not approved YET (just like any other DLI) but they were expecting it to be approved.
