Actually I lived in Canada for more than 2 years since I became a PR, and this is my second PR Card, Do you think I still need to be there to pick it up?

Do I need to be in Canada to receive the PR Card after renewal or it is OK to send it to a friend inside Canada and then take it from him outside Canada?
