Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

We should have a hashtag to unite our tweets! How about #QuebecPRdelay? I’m not the best at coming up with hashtags though, so please suggest others.

According to this blog post by a Canadian immigration law firm (supposedly, but I can't verify that they are authentic), it is possible to apply to both programs at the same time. I shared this in another forum and someone said they knew of people who had done this, and IRCC will just ask you to...

Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing! But maybe it's because we will all probably be able to vote in the next federal election (2023). Also, each MP in Canada represents ~110,000 people on average, while in India the average is ~2.5 million! So I guess the Canadian MPs just have more time to...

There is a French-language Facebook group that drafted a letter about our situation (waiting for AORs) and had group members send it to their MP. I think the letter was finalized and people started sending it out sometime last week. People are starting to post the responses they receive in the...

I recently found out that non-PGWP open work permit holders in Quebec are eligible for RAMQ if they have applied for PR. I called RAMQ recently and was told I need the AOR in order to apply. But it seems absurd to require the AOR since, as we are all well aware, they have not been issuing AORs...

I am in a similar situation. My partner is already in Canada on a study permit. So I chose "no" because I interpreted "accompanying" as meaning that you are also requesting PR for the spouse. But I'm not certain that my interpretation is correct.

Thanks, this is very helpful! I didn't know that US and inland applications get processed in the same place. I will update my address with the webform.

I recently moved from the US to Canada on a spousal work permit. Do I have to update my address with IRCC if I can still get mail at my US address? Will becoming an inland applicant speed up my application?

Hi Everyone! I'm a longtime lurker on this forum and finally have a question to ask. Background: I submitted my federal PR application for the PEQ-Student stream in January of this year (my info is in the tracker under the same username). I am American, and when I applied, I was living and...
