Here is my experience. We landed by road at the Lewiston–Queenston bridge, stayed in quarantine for 14 days and then came back using the Peace bridge using AVR. 1) You can land if your COPR was approved after March 18th and you are traveling from the U.S. 2) You can enter the U.S back using...

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

I plan to travel by road. I was planning to travel in July but I am uncertain now because of yesterday's executive order. May be August. We dont have a valid visa stamp in our passport so want to be sure AVR still works.

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

Travellers from U.S can travel even if they are not exempt from the travel restrictions as long as they are travelling for an essential purpose. Rules are different for people travelling from U.S and those outside the U.S. It reads you must either travel directly from the U.S or be exempt from...

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

No I did not raise any yet. I believe people from U.S can travel despite the travel restrictions. I found this text on the IRCC website which makes me think I can travel. All other foreign nationals To be eligible, you must meet 2 requirements: You must be travelling for an essential...

IRCC Landing Processing After Webform Submission

Sounds too good to be true! Although, I remember reading a tweet from IRCC which said they were currently sending emails to inland COPR holders and were working on something similar for the rest of the COPR holders. I tried hunting for it but I lost it...I am sure it was a tweet from May...may...

CoPRs with approval after March 18 and soon to expire counterfoils entering Canada

I don't believe soft landing is possible in these covid times. It definetly was earlier.

CoPRs with approval after March 18 and soon to expire counterfoils entering Canada

Sure. I definitely will. I want to travel but the rumors about the executive order that is banning the re entry of all H1b are troubling me. I always planned to land, continue working in U.S for 2 years and then settle down in Canada. I am going to wait and watch out for the executive order...

CoPRs with approval after March 18 and soon to expire counterfoils entering Canada

Thanks for sharing this response! I was planning to try landing this month...since I live in NY close to the border. I was thinking people from U.S can travel even if they were not exempt from the travel restrictions. The reason is this info on the IRCC site All other foreign nationals To be...

Rumors about an executive order that bans the entry H1b holders around.

I read rumors on a lot of websites that U.S is considering banning H1b holders from re entering the U.S. The order is likely to be passed by the end of this month. Is it safe to do the landing process now? Our intention is to land, quarantine and get back to U.S. I am assuming this is going to...

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

Yes that is the only to find out perhaps. If it is too risky for you it will probably be best to wait for a few more weeks and decide whether to travel or submit the webform. Why do say risky? The AVR rule should work for most of us I suppose. We are planning to wait and travel in August. The...

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

Thanks for sharing. Yes that is a very generic response. I feel like entering with COPR must come under essential travel. I also re-read their travel restrictions on their website and I think people from the U.S can travel even if their COPR was approved after March 18th. All other foreign...

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

Thanks for letting us know. I think the chances of the border officer considering our travel as essential are more if we travel closer to our expiry date. I hope they ease out the restrictions by the end of this month and we are able to travel.

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

I think we should but I am not sure how to reach out to them. The web form replies are very generic. I tried reaching to IRCC on twitter but did not get any response yet. I think if copr expiry is near we can travel as it is essential for us...but again there is no guarantee they will let us in.
