GU is ghost update - where you see "Application Updated" but you can not see any posted updates in your application. It is just for internal update so you have to call IRCC and speak to an agent about the updates.

Yes after receiving a GU on Feb. 19 I called and the agent told me my application is approved. Finally, On Feb. 20 my CIC account got updated and says my PR application is approved and they have issued a COPR number in my application. I am waiting for an official COPR email from VO Ottawa.

Everytime I got a GU, I called and spoke to an agent. I got one GU on Feb 03 - I passed my Criminality & Eligibility Got another on Feb 19 - I passed my Security & Final decision Approved Nothing official yet as my CIC account still needs to be updated.

Called this afternoon after getting a GU this morning! AOR- July 03 Security- passed Criminality- passed Eligibility- passed Final decision- Approved Nothing has updated yet in my account. CPC Ottawa will issue a COPR Will let you guys know once I receive the golden email.
