What the title says. Do I have to get an email/ letter from university that states my travel is essential for my travels? Unfortunately the university staff are on holiday till 4th of Jan and my flight is Jan 7th.

Hello I will travel to Alberta by going to Toronto first. Do you know how long should the lay over period be to process the study permit? Do I have to check out and collect my baggage when I arrive in Toronto?

If we decided to travel just before 30 April would that affect pgwp afterwards? I have just known that the 50% is calculated based on the number of courses which will make my Winter term exactly 50% of my program

I applied on 23 July, only AIP on 8th if September. Still waiting for the gcms notes and the permit itself.

It’s also weird that half of the posts here are “my friend did ...” don’t know why aren’t the “friends” here asking for themselves instead of letting someone else ask for them

It’s been 4 months since I applied (full application), 2 and a half month after my AIP and still no answer. Believe me, 2 weeks this year is nothing. Be prepared for at least a month or 2 of waiting, if not more. Good luck in your application

If I were you, I would travel April 1st to be in the safe side. The weather would be better and you won’t worry about the 50% of the program duration

I think you shouldn’t worry as your pgwp won’t be affected by the online delivery if you arrive canada before April 30. But for the other course, that depends on the rules of taking 2 courses and their effect on pgwp, which I know nothing about, unfortunately.
