I would suggest you try and get in touch with them through IRCC webform and emailing Ottawa office directly to get an update as it has been over a month.

It has been over a month then. Does your application show the counterfoil numbers and expiry date after it was approved ? I contacted them through IRCC web form and sent a email directly to the Ottawa office. Those two were my primary means of communication.

That's good to hear :). This is my first CoPR. I think they might have been extending the validity automatically for people who submitted passports in the last 2-3 months and have medicals expiring soon. Understandably so with the current COVID travel restrictions in place.

I think people living in other countries go via VAC in sending their passports to Canada for getting their PR visa. For people living in USA, I believe they mail their passports directly to the Case processing center in Canada. Atleast thats what I was asked to do.
