I’m pvt sponsored refugee, My decision was made and visa was issued in January 2023, but due to exit permit issues I couldn’t fly. My visa was expired in March 2023. There were some other refugees in similar situation, They received 2nd visa but im still waiting. @canuck78

They are good to go thn. If they signed a loan form at the time of interview they need to inform IOM that they will book their own tickets

Principle Applicant need to go to IOM to double check. Sponsors can not use sponsorship money to buy tickets

My interview was on 28th November, 1st December it changed to Decision Made, 19 December Passport Request 1st January received my Passport with Visa and COPR so yeah it wont take months.

Passport request if it’s valid otherwise u will be asked to submit two photos, in three weeks after this request u will get COPR n one time Travel Document, thn IOM will arrange ur tickets n SAH will receive NOTIFICATION OF ARRIVAL

Lets suppose someone lands in Canada as Permanent Resident can he/she apply for citizenship after completing 1095 days ( 3 years ) or they need to wait 5 years before they apply.

you will be lucky if u will get an interview in a year time. Private Sponsorship takes 2 to 3 years

I have been following this forum ever since I applied for Private Sponsorship ( outside Canada) @zak86 it hurts to see fraudsters getting away while genuine people wait for years outside Canada

@Nepka yes they asked me to submit my passport for visa

Oh I applied in Feb 2020 yes they informed me about the decision

I am alone, interview length is depending upon ur story n family size family before me their interview lasted for 3 hrs n i was done in 45 minutes

Leaving this comment for those it may concern. had my interview couple of days ago but it wasnt a joyride by any means 1. know ur story well 2. Keep everything in order 3. Dont over explain 4. Questions are mostly from ur story all the best
