Canada PR status shouldn’t impact a USA visa. Atleast not in my case.

I am in Canada PR. H4 renewal only. Spouse is still in USA in H1 already and has AP too. All the very best. I am amazed too about the quick processing!

Puralator delivery scheduled to my home today. The whole visa renewal process was very quick. Very impressed with the turnaround time. Not like India tatkal passport in two days, but roughly two weeks is still impressive for USA visa renewal as this used to be very hard process - getting...

    H4 Dropbox Toronto

Folks, How long is the average time it’s taking for issuance since application delivered to them? Mine is H4 and was delivered early this week and shows application received. Would like to go to USA and file 485. Don’t want dates to change prior to that. Would need time to take medical tests too...

    AUGUST 2020 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

FYI. Please don’t apply with just COPR. IRCC Agent on phone said we can apply with just COPR as PR cards delivery was getting delayed with COVID and was taking several months. But spouse PR application applied in August was returned in Feb quoting that they need PR card to confirm eligibility...

In my case one IRCC agent on phone said it doesn’t matter only primary applicant location matters. But I kept insisting that he is unaccompanying as per my application (I had removed him when I submitted for express entry FSW). I don’t think agents had clearcut instructions those days in...

    AUGUST 2020 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

I got two webform responses for my request. One said that they received my representative form but that no application is currently under processing - they didn’t open my spouse application package from august yet? The other one said that I need to just refer to the courier company...

Inland folks waiting are all work permit holders? If on a visitor visa I wonder whether there is any difference and dependency on the home country. Also was inland applied while being inland or was the move after application? I applied outside from USA - lived 12 years in USA and born in India...

Yeah Twitter responses are similar too. People start getting worried when IRCC says refusal. I see that folks don’t get response these days for case status requests. I have in the past one time got an email too to not contact for case status. Better to reduce workload for them - that’s the...

I don’t know. Better to be cautious. There is just too much going on, so a little bit of patience and silence helps I guess. They are closing everything back again here in Canada. They can’t handle the workload and not everyone can work from home. This would be the worst time to relocate...

I saw a note that multiple communications will cause refusal. So don’t bother them all too much with webform and GCMS notes request. It adds to the load. Contact them if you need them to correct something in your file. And an occasional status one - better to call - the call folks don’t work on...

    AUGUST 2020 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

I have submitted a webform request asking for application number with all our details, representative and consent form. Hopefully they give me in few days.

Do you have the COPR letter in your account? That gives description on what to do next and get the PR card. If you don’t have the letter then you will have to wait... specially if you are Outland.

BTW if you are not a US citizen then you are not visa exempt anyway even if you are travelling from USA. But it is easier travelling between US and Canada than other countries with the current border restrictions - needs visa stamped in passport though.

If your wife gets passport request then that’s good. You both can get work permit paper at the border.

If I were you, I would submit mine and spouse passports, get the work permit, travel to Canada, submit webform stating the Canada address, employment letter etc. Will help you speed up your PR process too. Didn’t they apply for a open work permit for your spouse? In my case, my employer...

Many folks who move from USA to Canada move because of lack of GC for several years... most would be benefiting from the dates movement in October. If they get GC then most may not apply for PR here. Only people who come and live here would know the value of this country.

Many in USA would be filing for 485 AOS for GC as dates changed drastically based on October 2020 visa bulletin. Not many would be leaving the country for several months until they get AP. It may be better for IRCC to focus on other countries than waste some of the PPRs...
