I saw a note that multiple communications will cause refusal. So don’t bother them all too much with webform and GCMS notes request. It adds to the load. Contact them if you need them to correct something in your file. And an occasional status one - better to call - the call folks don’t work on...

I have submitted a webform request asking for application number with all our details, representative and consent form. Hopefully they give me in few days.

Do you have the COPR letter in your account? That gives description on what to do next and get the PR card. If you don’t have the letter then you will have to wait... specially if you are Outland.

BTW if you are not a US citizen then you are not visa exempt anyway even if you are travelling from USA. But it is easier travelling between US and Canada than other countries with the current border restrictions - needs visa stamped in passport though.

If your wife gets passport request then that’s good. You both can get work permit paper at the border.

If I were you, I would submit mine and spouse passports, get the work permit, travel to Canada, submit webform stating the Canada address, employment letter etc. Will help you speed up your PR process too. Didn’t they apply for a open work permit for your spouse? In my case, my employer...

Many folks who move from USA to Canada move because of lack of GC for several years... most would be benefiting from the dates movement in October. If they get GC then most may not apply for PR here. Only people who come and live here would know the value of this country.

Many in USA would be filing for 485 AOS for GC as dates changed drastically based on October 2020 visa bulletin. Not many would be leaving the country for several months until they get AP. It may be better for IRCC to focus on other countries than waste some of the PPRs...
