My case was same. stat questions in RR. took 6 months for review by officer and it cleared. my file was 99% cleared by end of nov-19 but RR was cleared mid May-2020. my file was at Ottawa and for RR it moved to Montreal.

I think you should not listen to people but appeal. say due to covid you couldn't get it. as simple as that.. dont argue with cic right now.. just explaination letter and request reconsideration but this time make sure to attach everything they need.. all the best
