Can you make sure that there are no gaps in dates? I think their guidance specifically says that there should not be any gaps - recall that from memory.

I think it varies case to case as well as depends on where you are applying from and the VO. We submitted our passports on 3rd March and got it back on 5th March - just within 2 days. And there is a high probability that after getting PPR, COPR would be granted. Very rare exceptions. Best of luck.
