Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Oh lovely! From your perspective, is there any risk with using the purolator system vs trying to get an actual appointment?

Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Hi Omar! I am looking to renew my passport. Can you help me understand how you went about using the purolator pick-up/drop-off? And if I use this option, do I not need an appointment with BLS? I am trying to use this link but it doesn't appear to be working...

PR card timeline (Etobicoke office only)

I did soft landing on July 15, 2020 and didn't apply for a PR card at that time. I now moved to Canada and applied for a PR card through the online portal application on March 20, 2023. Since then I have not seen any update on the PR card portal (https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login)...

When I move to Canada in June 2023, will they just apply for my card at the border? Or do I need to go thru this process regardless? And any thoughts on why I couldn't apply for SIN?

    Residency obligation - please advise

Hi, I completed soft landing in July 15, 2020. By when do I need to move to Canada to fulfil the RO? I do not have a PR card - the landing officer said I should apply when I move. Does this mean I can only go to Canada via land border?

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

Hi, I don't think we filled out a landing destination as part of the PR process. I think you can land anywhere except in Montreal. You will need to drive back and forth from the border. I didn't see a walkway between the US and Canada side. I hope this helps!

CoPRs with approval after March 18 and soon to expire counterfoils entering Canada

No, they did not take any address. The PR card will be processed when we move permanently and this should be okay with those that aren't moving to settle. Rental car.

What category did you apply under? I am wondering why they need a job offer before you can move to Canada? Perhaps it's a requirement under the category that you applied under.

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

For #3, my concern is that Canada won't consider soft landing as essential and won't allow us in. Do you happen to have any clarity on this front?

COPRs issued after March 18. Residence in USA.

You should email CBP your specific situation and ask. What visa will you be on after July? If you have an approved H1-B and associated I-797, I believe you can re-enter using AVR, but obviously confirm with the CBP and a lawyer.
