Applying for TRV within Canada - Without Work or Study Permit

Hey guys, Sorry if the question is a no-brainer but not my area of knowledge much, so would appreciate your comments. Many thanks in advance! For a family member of a Canadian citizen (mother of a citizen) who is on TRV in Canada, is it possible to apply for it again while she is in Canada...

    COPR this week?

You can only claim a total of 365 days actually with a SP or WP. So after spending 2 years with WP, all remaining days are not counted. Basically, either you are here with an SP and WP for 5 years or you are here only for 2 years - all you can claim is 365 days.

***Jan-April 2020 AOR*** - Passed or Still In Progress

If your medicals are expired and the online portal shows "you do not need an exam" that basically means you are waiting for a decision from an agent to either ask for a re-exam or just extending for one more year. You can also do upfront medicals without them asking for it. But it is indeed...

    COPR this week?

According to the twitter account of IRCC, they are going to start a new policy for allowing 90,000 new PR applications - starting in 3 weeks. Who cares if there are tons of people with no complex applications waiting for 15 months? Who cares if they couldn't even figure out why exactly they...

That's ridiculous. Don't know what to say.

CEC Applicants - Feb. 2020 *JOIN HERE*

Were you outside of Canada within the year? The agent (not so directly) told me that if I was in Canada during the year, they will "most probably" extend it.

CEC Applicants - Feb. 2020 *JOIN HERE*

I am so curious to find out what they will find after medical extensions to continue this torture. It was biometrics for 7 months, then criminality was in progress for 3 - 4 months, and now medicals for God knows how many months. I was getting mad at them but this came to another level, really...

***Jan-April 2020 AOR*** - Passed or Still In Progress

Hey, would you mind elaborating on what you mean by ghost update? Is it some change you see on your online account or received an email about some update? I've been told by MP's office that my criminality has been passed and waiting for the final decision now but didn't have any "updates" by...

    COPR this week?

I saw a few other posts mentioning it, and I received it myself too, so assuming it is a "send-to-all" kind of an email. One would hope they would acknowledge the neglected 2020 Q1 applicant issues but seems like they will keep repeating the same throughout and want us to believe it if they say...

    COPR this week?

Congrats! But can we stop this be patient messages, please? I am pretty much patient for 1 year, 1 month, and 5 days now. It is annoying at this point someone tells me to be so after a wait of fewer than 6 months, LOL.

For general purposes and day-to-day operations, definitely, a government will not have what you would think they should. I agree with that. It is what it is. However, during these extraordinary times, governments have to be the ones to clear the path and make things right. The private sector is...

    COPR this week?

This would be pure comedy gold if we were not in it. Today is exactly a year since they canceled biometric appointments. They did a few draws meanwhile, tried to figure out a way for the biometric collection for 7 months, and then 4 months on top of that after things started to continue...

    COPR this week?

I wouldn't say "if you are from these months, your chance is zero". We still see or hear people from the given months getting their applications finalized. The problem is those applications are really a few and no transparency in the process whatsoever. The only thing is you gotta be lucky, no...

It is 12 months from the date of your visit, so would be March for you. (But still better to check with them directly. This is how my one expired, but each case may differ.)

AOR Feb 2020. - Waited for 7 months for them to do something about biometrics, asked what their plan is, and was told to be patient and wait as covid slows down everything and they have a lack of staff. - Waited for 1 month to receive a call from Service Canada for biometrics, asked what their...

"Eventually" getting it is not a justification, to be honest. Seeing folks getting their CoPRs with AOR dates that are even after the date I got my eligibility review passed already is borderline hilarious & triggering.

Do you know where this was mentioned? They are making such comments when there are tons of people from February - March terms waiting does not sound something I can wrap my head around.

This is what they do since the beginning, really. Just sad at this point. I wrote to my MP office as well and got a response. Basically, they contact IRCC for you, and they get a basic response showing where your application is. Also, she stated that they cannot influence or do anything about...

There are some users in this forum trying to shame everyone who "dares" to criticize any Canadian entity. I understand many of these users probably come from countries that Canada is a heaven for them, and they cannot get any negative feedback processed as they are possibly so proud to be able...
