    February 2020 Spousal sponsorship Outland

Hello, we've just received passport request but my partner's passport will likely expire before we travel to Canada. Does anyone know if it's best to renew the passport before we send it to IRCC or if COPR can be transferred later on?

Hey everyone! We received a request via email for 3 additional police certificates + supplementary travel history form but there were no instructions on how to submit the documents. Also our gckey hasn't been updated so there's nowhere to upload. If this has happened to anyone did Sydney...

    Inland Spousal: Police Certificate Complexities!

In my case we did receive a request for an additional police certificate for a country not on the checklist so better to be prepared if it’s easy and cheap. If China is a hassle/expensive you could wait for the request if you’re not too worried about processing time since you’ll be inland...

    February 2020 Spousal sponsorship Outland

In my case it was transferred maybe a week after biometrics were done but we haven’t received a med request yet. I (sponsor) received an email that it had been transferred, there was no info on ECAS or gckey

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they physically transfer the files. So CPC Sydney will notify you that your application is being transferred and when London VO physically receives your application PA ECAS will change to "Application Received" from "In Process"

I believe it shows as In Process when its being processed at CPC Sydney, gets transferred to VO and will change to Application Received once your VO receives your application, and changes back to In Process once the VO is working on it. So I guess your VO has probably not received it yet

Can someone just confirm this for me- after transfer to VO when PA ECAS shows “Application received” it means the app has been physically received by the VO and then will change back to “in process” when they start working on it?

Hey @DiiDii That's why I specifically used the word MINIMUM, 1-2 weeks is the shortest amount of time you can expect to wait. I mentioned this number so they know not to expect communication from CPC right after their package is delivered.

Application received/AR is the date your package was delivered to CPC Sydney (if you have a tracking #) AOR1 is the letter/email IRCC sends the sponsor acknowledging that they’ve received your application (usually sent minimum 1-2 weeks after your app been delivered)

I got approved as a sponsor and i submitted a letter detailing our plans to move (when/where) and included documentation showing applications to Canadian Masters programs, that I still maintain a Canadian bank acct, and 2 letters from family in Canada stating they’re aware of our plans. We...

    February 2020 Spousal sponsorship Outland

Received AOR on 02/21, biometric request on 02/27 and ECAS says decision made for sponsor on 02/28. We’ve also received a request for an additional police clearance already 02/27 (but the file hasn’t been transferred from CPC Sydney yet which seems strange)

Police Check for countries 6 months+

Hello! :) Can anyone clarify if IRCC can/will request additional police clearances from countries you have lived longer than 6 months? (During the background check phase of the process) We submitted the required police checks for Spousal sponsorship (current country of residence + country where...
