Just to update everyone, Ankara has had my husbands passport since Dec 29th and today they asked for him to do new medicals!!! This is SO STUPID and will likely delay our application even longer. We applied in October 2018 and still waiting. So just so you know this process is SO RANDOM!

Hello, anyone else get their passport back from Ankara? My husband and I are still waiting. It has been in processing since Dec 29th!!! Ankara just says to wait and delays are due to COVID and MP also doesn’t know anything. Trying to stay positive but super hard.

The announcement made on Friday was that the hotel rule takes in effect from Feb 22nd. Government is supposed to put a list of hotels that will be available for travellers to choose from.

From my experience with my MP the information he got from the notes did not always match what they did at Ankara. MP said that Ankara does not always update their notes on time. So be careful of this as well. I got super confused by this. I am still waiting on my husbands passport to come back...

Hello, it has been almost 8 weeks and I am still waiting on my passport from Ankara. A lawyer suggested that i do an ATIP request. Does anyone know if this could cause even further delay?

The hotel rule is not in effect yet. So lucky for you.

They already extended it. His original passport request was in oct 2019 and medicals were expiring April 2020 but couldn’t send passport cause if COVID so got extended till March of this year. This is why I am worried. March is next month!

I have done all of this. Been in contact with MP keep emailing Ankara. I also put on a request for an Atip yesterday. No one is able to do anything. The only the three MP told me is that a note was put in my husbands file on Jan 19th that the new COPR would be valid till March 26 but it had not...

Sorry one more question. Did you see your counterfoil number? What was the message on the GCKEY?

His paper application was originally not linked to his GCKEY so it is messed up but there is no update on ECAS or VFS

I get something completely different when I email them. They just say “ please be advised your passport will be sent to you as per the instructions on the passport request letter. But there is no instructions! They just told us that his medicals are extended

Congrats. Was this on ECAS or on GCKEY? Ours still nothing! Well done. You are Iran spousal support right. Ours has been in processing since dec 29th.
