Family sponsorship-Inland October 2020 Relationship story?

Hi there, If it wasn’t specifically requested in the document checklist, you don’t need to provide it to get an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR). However, you may need to provide more documents like letters later in the process.

The letter received would be AIP - approval in principal. Yes, you are close to the end. Reply to their request for the fee as soon as possible to avoid delays.

Your representative typically links the application to their account. I’m not sure if you can link it to your own account but you can try. If you link it to your account, it will be automatically unlinked from your rep’s account and they won’t be able to get any more updates on your application...

It says that when you check your application status online but on your GcKey or Sign in Partner account, it gives you more info and tells you if you passed. Do you have an account or a rep? If you have a rep, ask them if you passed. Not sure why there’s so much delay but you should get some...

Does it say your medical has been passed? It should be saying that by now. The next step usually comes after medical is passed.

    JULY 2019 *Inland* Spousal Sponsorship

Hi everyone, I am posting here because I was originally a July 2019 applicant. I received COPR today. I have included my timeline below in case it can be of help to someone: First Sponsorship Application Received - July 8th, 2019 AOR - August 20th, 2019 Medical Request - November 25th, 2019...

I heard that they are prioritizing the applications of essential workers. Maybe that’s why our applications seem stuck at one stage while others are moving forward. Who knows. Anyways, we are almost there. After medicals, the end is usually near.

You will also need a visa or eta to fly back and apparently, a negative covid test now, obtained not more than 72 hours before your flight. Given the state of the country, I’m honestly not sure if they are letting people in who are not permanent residents or citizens. You have to find a way to...

Oh I see. That is great ! I really hope everyone going through the process gets positive news soon ! It’s not an easy process at all but hopefully it will be rewarding in the end.

This actually isn’t true. If you speak to IRCC agents, they will tell you differently. You do not have to Mail them together. In 2019, when I was applying, I almost didn’t Mail them together as I was told by both the immigration consultant I spoke to AND an IRCC agent that I didn’t need to Mail...

I don’t think it works that way. I don’t think it will be reconsidered. But you are correct, the system is weird and unfair. The condition that must be met to be eligible for the owp is that you must have a sponsorship application PROCESSING. You have a sponsorship application processing so you...

My guess is that the offices don’t communicate btw each other as much as we would like them to. If you don’t send your owp application and sponsorship application together, you’ll likely run into problems later. If you have AIP, go ahead and apply for owp again. Along with the owp application...

People get it for all sorts of reasons. We got it because we didn’t have enough evidence to prove our case. We weren’t gathering documents during our relationship because we didn’t know this was something we would end up doing.

Ok, you can withdraw if you wish to. That was our situation the first time we applied. Sponsor had approval but I got a PFL. We withdrew and reapplied. Now we both have DM and are waiting for COPR. It’s been a long process.

No, no problems at all reapplying. Check the status of your application online to make sure a decision hasn’t been made. If a decision hasn’t been made, you can withdraw.

****January 2020 - Inland Spousal PR + OWP****

I think you can actually submit more than one web form in reply to IRCC’s request. Just explain in the second web form that you’re submitting more documents because your files were too big and you could not submit them all in one web form. I think you’d be fine if you did that. Call IRCC to...

****January 2020 - Inland Spousal PR + OWP****

Personally speaking, I would submit the whole statement. However, I think the page with your name, address and date are probably the only things really needed. I would submit the whole thing because the first page alone might not look legit. But who knows? Maybe it doesn’t matter and the first...
