Well hello everyone, been ages. So much movement here (well at least since I've been on) I forget who was asking but RCMP checks are a nasty wait. Hubby and I waiting as they process for the kids. Notified they started October 4th. Good luck to all ;)

On the topic of background checks..if you can make it happen. DO IT! Lol My husbans request for checks came from POS and took a total of 53 weeks. That was our hold up.

Haha...sorry. I definately meant for sponsorship. They received our app on Jan. 22nd.

Good morning everyone...It's been two weeks since hubby got home. His flight was actually early but ir still seemed to take forever for him to come out. I thought I was gonna end up sleeping at the airport lol. We went the next morning and got his SIN and he is at his first job interview today...

Well hubby booked his flight and will officially land on the 9th. Today is our wedding anniversary but I guess we'll celebrate next week! ;D I think POS fell asleep...where is everyone??

TRINIGUY...have a look at my timeline with POS. We applied in Spetember 2010, my husband is landing next week. We had to get our MP involved. Good luck :)

Nigea...Being that he is from a visa excempt country, when your application is approved he does not have to send in his PP to POS. They will contact him and make arrangements for fed ex or whomever to pick up and drop off his COPR papers.

Hey everyone!!...So looks like the 4th will be the big day. Unfortunately todays my birthday and our anniversary is the 1st. But...at this point not even worried about it, just cant wait for him to come home. Hoping for more updates ;)

Hubby just called and his papers are in!!!! Now its real and he's coming home.

Well I saw those beautiful 2 words weve been waiting for today....DECISION MADE. ;D They told hubby he should have his COPR by Monday. BBP...I would give it like 8 weeks before panicing. We paid RPRF in March and submitted new medicals in June and just got word 3 days ago. Good luck.

Thanks so much Trini, Fiera and MissDominica!! Its just starting to sink in...and yes a very long time coming. The kids say they have never seen their dad this happy before lol.

UPDATE UPDATE my friends....POS just called hubby and thats it!!! Were done :D Just have to make arrangements with Fed-ex to pick up and deliver his COPR forms. So excited...we have like 3 weeks to get him on a plane and home.
