Submitted October 24th 2019 Approved January 15 2021 Called multiple times throughout to no aid, even before COVID. Wish I could offer advice other than sit and wait. Maybe this brings somebody hope that their situation will be resolved too.

The last agent I spoke to on IRCC phone said they haven't even started applications from my time, yet I see people who applied around when I did got approvals in late January.

Not sure if you've heard this yet but DO NOT LEAVE. You are under implied status (same restrictions as whatever permit you are currently under) until a decision is made on your new permit. Old rules were you lost that status when you left the country. New rule from February says you can still...
