but I'm curious if anyone has done oath successfully outside of Canada, despite you shouldn't by all means. I don't mean to lie to CIC, but to tell them honestly you are outside of Canada due to some valid reason.

On top of points mentioned, I think you need to cut PR card during the ceremony, and you can't go back to Canada without a PR card. I don't think you can apply visa at this stage either.

I did it several days ago. I was requested to send full passport copies in the email. During the interview, the officer asked me to show PR card/Passport, and additional ID. It took about 10 min. Quick and easy. The status in tracker was updated 1 day after the interview.

Did you receive an email for interview with interview date? You should have received it when you are requested for PP copies. At least that's my case.

Don't worry about the test. It's relatively easy and the purpose is not to give you a hard time. I personally only looked at discover Canada. Not a single search on Google/YouTube or anything. I read discover twice and got 20/20. You will be good.
