Apparently it depends on the course if you get a PGWP. A certificate of achievement is not less valuable then others when it comes to PGWP. But you need to confirm with your college if that specific course is for example long enough like the min 8 months that are specified on the IRCC website...

Is anyone applying for a study permit from Europe? Applied in May and my application doesn't seem to make any progress. Does anyone have the same problem ?

From my many email exchanges with IRCC they haven’t really given me any reasons to asume that they will change the rules and it is just a big gamble for many of us since some of us are doing a one year program also pay alot of money for it.

I defered to January because it is not a sure thing that IRCC will change the PGWP rules If we can not make it to Canada anytime soon.

Yeah you are right. Man I am really disappointed by how IRCC is handling this. The latest updates only really seam to make us pay the tuition fee and the chances are 50/50 for PGWP.

Where did you hear this? Where did you hear this ? Because taking your chanse on losing 1000$ on a plane ticket is better then losing 10k on an overpriced obline course.

Well the latest update from IRCC is that if your course is online then you presence is not essential and will be denied entry at the border.

How I understand it the rule is that you have to be in Canada for 50% of your study length to be considered for a PGWP. If you are doing a two semester program fall 2020 and winter 2020, and they later decide that the winter term is also going to be delivered online and students are not allowed...

Yes we are able to apply for PGWP. But now with the new update on PGWP and online delivery, if you cant do 50% of your course in Canada you will not be able to get a PGWP.

I am thinking of deferring to January. It doesn't make sense for us to take such a risk. Imagine if they do not open the borders at all then we have paid an ridiculously expensive Online course.
