Have you got the actual certificate? The passport is relatively quick but the proof of citizenship certificate takes a LONG time, especially if applying outside of Canada/US.

Getting a passport is quick and within a month or 2 from what I've read. I think mine must've gone to program support, I didn't get any response from my request so preparing myself for a long wait. It's been over a year since my application was received and 9 months since AOR.

Mine was received last October, I got the AOR in January and still showing application received. I did apply from outside Canada though.

It's coming up to 10 months since my application was received (18th Oct) and I had an AOR in January. The processing time online indicates 8-9 months as I applied through NZ embassy, but I am a British citizen. I understand that this time will be longer now. Is it worth filling in the web form...

I received an email on the 15th January from CIC which had the letter attached as a PDF.
