You can try calling early in the morning when the service just became available. I believe agents start working at 8am, but please double check. Calling at 8 sharp gives a better chance to get to an agent quickly. My own experience was ~7min waiting.

I agree. The reason that I mentioned US is because there is a land border between them. For countries other than the US, if you want to return to canada, you need to board the plane, and without a passport, that doesn't seem to be possible. However, if a person shows up at a POE on the land...

Is it possible to go without a certificate? It might work if you have a US passport/visa. I left Canada 1 day after the ceremony to continue my study in the US. I got my certificate mailed to my PR address, and my relative mailed it to me.

As far as I know, "all checks completed" on the new tracker usually means the same thing as DM. DM is not updated on the new tracker. ECAS usually shows DM on the same day that "all checks" becomes completed on the new tracker...

I took the oath on Dec 20, and the next day my tracker status changed to closed. I'm not sure whether different offices handle this in different ways. Maybe you could also check ECAS? ECAS should be updated with two items, "we sent you correspondence...(oath invite)" and the actual oath event.

I attended the virtual ceremony on Monday, and yesterday the tracker status changed to closed. The officer did not ask me about travel plans, which is a little different from what I read on the forum.
