    >>>>>>>NOVEMBER 2020 AOR<<<<<<< Join here

As someone who waited for 13 months to receive COPR (delayed due to COVID ) - it is hard to say how long more you have to wait and you should have a plan B on hand and extend your visitor pass. Usually, you won't be rejected unless you didn't update what IRCC has requested. Along the way, they...

Help! HR wont write employment letter with EE requirements

As you did the work all those months/years, you should able to list down what you did during the period - you can refer to the handbook but I do not recommend you to just 'cut and paste' the roles. Explaining the situation in LOE is also a good idea.

Help! HR wont write employment letter with EE requirements

Write your work description yourself and send it again - ideally, meet them face to face (if not a call is better than an email) and tell them this is for PR application so what they have sent is while within the campus rights, it is not sufficient for your needs. And so if there is anything...

    >>>>>>>OCTOBER 2019 AOR<<<<<<< Join here

I usually press 1-1-2-2 when I call them (1-888-242-2100) and would have to wait 30+mins, have you tried calling them at different times of the day? You might face peak hour calls and there were many times when I tried to call for 3-4 days in a row and couldn't get through, when I tried a...

    >>>>>>>OCTOBER 2019 AOR<<<<<<< Join here

Hi there, I was an outland applicant then came into Canada before the pandemic and had to wait about 15 months (was on visitor pass - extended twice, no work, no nothing....my life was in a real life limbo) till I got my COPR. AOR was in Oct 2019 too so I can totally understand the frustration...

    Defeated

I had to wait over 1 year from AOR to COPR (Dec 2020) - at the time when I hit the 6-month mark, I was sure they would send over COPR, but Covid happened and it became a 9+ months waiting game. My message to you like many others is - don't give up, check once a month on the process if you are...

2 year length stay requirement for PR needed for common-in-law?

So you mean that if I'm following my common-in-law partner who is Canadian to live overseas - there could be an issue. If it was the other way round, it would be fine?

2 year length stay requirement for PR needed for common-in-law?

Thank you @Buletruck and @YVR123. From your conversations, I've found the information that I needed. Here's a link for anyone who is looking for the same topic. https://discuss.settlement.org/topic41297-accompanying-a-canadian-citizen-spouse-overseas.asp. In a nutshell - "each day a permanent...

2 year length stay requirement for PR needed for common-in-law?

Hi there, I am currently a PR in Canada and do know that in order to maintain my Canadian PR, I would need to stay at least 2 years for the next 5 years. I would like to know if my status changes from single to common-in-law with a Canadian partner, does the 2-year stay requirement still stand...

    Singapore Visa Office

I don't know if you have done medical but for those who are asking the same question, there's only one place to do medicals in SG - Raffles Medical at Takashimaya. You would need to do a booking as well (recommended as I did that and there was a line up at 9am in the morning.)

Where to invest in Real Estate

    Yes as an investment.

Applied to EE outside Canada but currently in Canada and waiting for COPR, PPR etc.

Hi @java8, I didn't send the webform. I was about to but didn't. What I mainly did was to call IRCC more intensely for the last weeks to understand the holdup. Each time I called, I made sure to double-check with the agent that they knew my current address and contact - that I am in Canada, with...

Where to invest in Real Estate

Quick question, can a person purchase a house in ON and lives in BC? Are there any additional taxes or loops they have to go over? Thanks!

Express Entry or Common Law - Which to apply?

If your current point is 479 (without waiting till June) then I would recommend going with EE. You'll never know what will happen down the line and unless you are set to be with the person then go for common-in-law.

Is this a good reference letter sample?

It's good. You don't have the describe the company, based on your employment number and list of work done, IRCC will research the rest. Local currency is fine.

Applied to EE outside Canada but currently in Canada and waiting for COPR, PPR etc.

I received a call from IRCC today and it was to confirm my PR! :D The lady was very nice and asked me several questions (my current address, if I have any criminal record in Canada, if I have kids/married in any parts of the world etc) COPR will be mailed to me and also electronically sent...

@legalfalcon If I check my ECAS and the webpage state that my file is not processed, but my GCMS notes state that is approved, do you know what does that mean for my PR application? Thank you.
