Hi, Can we do Medical Tests and Police Verification before receiving ITA? What all docs can be prepared before ITA to save time?

Hi, I will likely be temporarily residing in UK by the time I will receive PPR for stamping. Do i require to come back to India to submit passport and wait till i get it back? Or is it possible to submit passport in UK itself?
