Walked in to BLS Brampton on December 17, 2021 for OCI. Date if acknowledgement- Jan 6th 2022 Doc printed and received at Toronto Jan 27th. Will be picking it up from CGI Toronto directly due to emergency although paid for Purolator shipping to home.

Mine is Jan 6th. Usually it gets printed 3 weeks after the date of acknowledgment.

My OCI is due to print this Friday and I would like to know, how long would they take to ship it? I'm flying on Feb 6th and OCI is print to due on Jan 28th. Thanks

The rule is absolutely correct! I've been a victim of it lol and it should be for all jurisdiction on my opinion!

Hey, you don't need to select an option of OCI for OCI...you can select either Passport or Visa and do the OCI application! Re appointment, yes correct, BLS Brampton opens up slots every morning between 8.20 am to 9 am for the same day slots. good luck!

I applied for my OCI last Friday at Brampton BLS. They only accept appointments and strictly no walk-ins...they open up slots everyday between 8.20 to 9 am for the same day appointment so don't go there as walk in. I waited since 5.30 am and they asked me to follow the same I've mentioned here...

I was at BLS Brampton last Friday. As long as you have an appointment, you're good to go!! Don't worry!

Wow it took 1 month to reflect on OCI website!! that's so long...I applied in person on Dec 17 and it shows currently processing at CGI...but can't see that on OCI site...any idea how long does it take to reflect on OCI site if applied in person? I need to fly on January 26th so...

Aahhh that's what i thought too! I can't find my application yet on this link...i checked mine on bls site and says processing at consulate general...how long does it take to reflect it on oci website? What's your timeline?

Hey don't go there walk in...BLS Brampton opens up slots every morning between 8.20 to 9 am for the same day appointment...use that instead...i was there just last Friday 12/17 so don't waste your time and energy...dm me if you need help

For the 2nd party about passport appointment, it's not an issue. In fact when i was there 3 days ago, BLS poeple were asking us to do the same

Yes but they will accept both files together so CGI will know about your surrender application as well... it works the same they used to work for surrender and OCI...

You don't have to wait for surrender certi...you just apply for it and apply for entry visa at the same time...that works here in Toronto Without citizenship certi, they won't let you surrender your passport unfortunately

Well you have to keep refreshing from 8.20 am to 9 am and you will get it for sure. I did ask and that's what they said. best time would be Saturdays...
