    If I'm already on implied status as a worker (my current work permit expired and I've applied for OWP), then there is no reason to apply for a visitor status. That will actually make me lose my current implied status as a worker.

    Sorry for another question :rolleyes: I tried calling and they said they're "experiencing high number of calls" and could not put me in a queue. Do you remember what options you pressed to reach an agent? I pressed "2" for sponsorship, then "1" as I'm sponsor, then "0" for talking to an agent.

    That's what I would do. Assuming you applied for visitor extension before your partner's status expired, I don't think you need to apply for restoration or pay that fee. I could be wrong, though. Make sure you pay the correct $255 for the open work permit so it isn't returned!

    Stupid question, but MP = Member of Parliament? Would we reach out the our local MP? Also, when you applied for restoration when your OWP was returned, was it to restore status as a visitor? I'm guessing your partner wasn't able to work after applying for restoration? Thanks!
