Yep, 5.5 weeks now. Talked to agent at 4 weeks in and she said Etobicoke was taking up to 6 weeks. (Very envious of people getting invites à few days after DM!)

I believe you'll receive an email with the interview invitation/instructions; my DM letter specified that the respective interview office would be sending this. If you are worried about not hearing anything after a reasonable amount of time has passed, I'd recommend calling IRCC...

Just learned it can take up to 6 weeks with Etobicoke at present. So if you haven’t heard by 22 Jan, you should call IRCC to find out what’s up. Fingers crossed that we hear something sooner!

Indeed, Alberta sounds kinder in this regard! I was actually even told that a job offer letter would not suffice; I had to have received the work permit and already started working for an Ontario-based employer. Was really glad the AIP came soon after so I could go that route instead

Yes, the AIP. I got mine via my online account and the Service Ontario office here thankfully did accept my printed copy. Will check into the Prov Replacement Coverage, wasn't aware of this option, thx!
