    6pm on Friday, I guess they send a bunch of letters to Canada post and they are processed at the end of the day.

    Actually you should send your passport with an unused envelope which CIC will use to send your passport back, so you are supposed to know the tracking number yourself. Did you take any picture of the used envelope?

    My tracking number was finally activated on Friday evening after having been approved on Wednesday, not sure when to receive it though.

    Timeline: Nov 06th passport requested Nov 15th passport received Nov 27th counterfoil generated Now I'm waiting for the tracking information.
