I did the same, but they said (BLS Toronto) it is not required, and gave it back at the counter.

are Canadian citizens need to go for H1B Stamping (at embassy) too? and do they need the H1B stamp on the passports? if not how can they travel on H1B visa to USA?

It takes around 15 days or 2 weeks to get ack (shows in oci website)

Thanks Raj. I hope the rules are still same. Checklist has something like "(g) Professional Details of the applicant." I think it might be some details of our work in a simple format, I guess. Let's see if any one who applied recently had any issues? Thanks

is 'Employment Letter' mandatory for new OCI application? Do we need to get it from the company (or) could we prepare our own self-signed format letter? Please let me know if anyone applied OCI recently? Thanks.

Wow, that's a lot of time. Usually it takes 3-4 weeks. I am already in Week 5.

Same case with me. I think they will send the passports back to BLS in batches (instead of sending daily) like every 2 weeks or 3 weeks (just speculating). Its better if they send it at least 2 times a week to speed up the things ...

Anyone who received the surrender certificate back from Toronto BLS? how long it took?

It says 'Processing at consulate' in BLS status, but 'Certificate printed' in the passport website for last 10 days. Not sure how long they take to send the passport back. I think once it is printed then all they need to do is send it back to me. Why 10 days just to send it back? God .....

Surrender application shows as 'Certificate printed' status on passport website, for almost 10 days now. Does it take this much time? When will they send it back to BLS?

its been 7 days since it is in 'printed' status. BLS still shows 'processing at consulate'. 7 days just to ship it to me. Really annoying ...

Usually they update the tracking number, in BLS 'application status' page, once it is shipped.

I did Dec-31, and still under review. Not sure how long they take.
