I called CIC and the agent said everything is passed, there’s just the criminal background being checked right now. The agent also said everything should be done in a couple weeks.

You can do the medical exams upfront, but they are valid for one year. The processing time is still 18 months so there is still a chance the medical exam expires before they ask. Maybe you can wait like 4 or 5 months to do the medicals.
