    Congratulations... tip for those in Quebec, and everybody as well... try to pay the 490$ before (we did it online even before sending the applications) so you dont have to wait an extra 2 or 3 weeks for the appointment.

    As per my personnal experience, we sent our application with all requested forms, that is securtiy clearance, medicals and payment for the OWP, 495$ final payment, our application took 13 months including reception of the PR card

    I'm from Quebec, and I got AIP and DM in the same day, go to your ECAS account, if you have Decision Made and AIP you should see Decision Made on both applications Sponsor and Applicant, I dont know how todescribe it but you can see it at a glance, the link is underline...

    at the Landing Interview, when the officer handles you the official permanent residence letter, the card is just a travelling tool... that letter should be kept preciously, it will help you to obtain your Canadian citizenship.
