    answering my own question just to let anybody know who is interested - it is possible to re-entry Canada if you dropped you educational education. just that you must be confident and have a valid reason to re-entry which will satisfy immigration officer. cheers!

    that is incorrect. nowhere it is stated that work permit should not be open. i received my 'spousal worek pemit' just last year, while my spouse had open WP.
