Another PPR from Friday batch! My AOR is Aug 29, 2019 so it has been a long wait for me (one dependent, RR cleared in late March, no SS, was living in the states but had moved back to home country). Hope everyone else has your golden email on the way soon!

I called IRCC last week and was informed that US residents only need COPR to settle in Canada irrespective of visa exemption. Maybe worth another calling for double-check.

I had a GU and called IRCC the next day. The agent confirmed that all the stages are passed.

Some big progress is made to my application. Finally, I have all the critical stages passed and only need the final approval! Now I can realistically hope for a PPR soon along with many others who share similar situations.

Hey folks, some recent update for my long-delayed application. I got an email from IRCC agent today asking for additional information on addresses and travel history. Maybe that signals some positivity in their handling of unfinished cases from 2019.

This morning I received an email from IRCC agent asking for the most recent addresses and travel history to proceed my application. Maybe that is a good sign implying they are working on clearing backlogs (outland cases over 6 months).

Not really...people like me who are still waiting for decisions after 9 months and being outland cannot share the joy and celebration you guys have. But still big congrats and best wishes for any follow-ups from IRCC.

To be honest, I have no clue about what has been examined in terms of my security check. The customer service simply replied that my background was still in process and security was not started. Does that suggest a SS or just a regularity due to extended processing time nowadays? Many thanks ahead!

Just had another frustrating call with IRCC today to learn my background is still in progress and security not started yet. It seems my files have not been touched since my eligibility passed in late March. Any August fellows have any insights or experience to share regarding security check...

Yes, I did nothing to bump up my score other than writing a complaint letter via webform. Maybe that worked? And it took me around 6 months to remove RR on my eligibility. Again, it should have not been that long if we live in a parallel 2020 without the COVID 19...

Big congrats! It seems your case only awaits the final approval. I share the same AOR and visa office as yours but my security background is yet to start... Anyway, you will hear good news very soon.
