Maybe u can schedule ure return flight from US as you can enter canada using ur landing immigration document by car only if you dont have pr card by then Hope that helps :)

Update: Received 2 letter, one from CIC alberta and one from etobicoke stating my date of landing i.e 16th Oct. Finally this is Over!!! I am so happy!

It took me almost 6 months. But my only issue was the police certificate to be sent from Singapore local authorities and my case was fairly simple otherwise. I am very happy phew!!
