    My employer was contacted more than 4 weeks ago and my application status changed to "Information requested" on the same day. No updates after that. :(

    No You will have to apply in general category. I had the same situation. SDS eligibility is only possible when you have receipt of upfront tuition fee and a GIC so as you are funded, you'll have to apply in Non - SDS category.

    I don't think they would approve your application as you DON'T NEED it. But you should check with your local VFS Canada or embassy to be sure.
