    September 2023 - Citizenship Applications

I am seeing a lot of people talking about fingerprints. Is that mandatory during citizenship applications? Or does it depend on when you last gave them? I gave mine at Service Canada during my PR application in 2020. Will I be asked to give again? Thanks.

Greater Vancouver Area - PR Card processing after COPR - Non portal (submitting photos by mail)

Sent photos on Feb 4 Received by Vancouver office on Feb 9. Anyone else in the same boat? Shows "submitted" on the application. ECAS can't "find my application". Will ECAS only update after the card is approved or should it show something right now too?

Does work experience gained while WAITING for PGWP count for CEC!!

For anyone out there still wondering, I can confirm that work experience gained after applying for PGWP but before getting PGWP approved DOES count towards CEC work experience (with the usual caveats of not working more than 20 hrs as a student etc.). I used 2.5 months of that and got a PR!
