I just received my passport. It took a week. I was not expecting it for another two or three weeks because I applied at Service Canada

When did you submit?

I applied today at Service Canada in Ajax and the lady said it will take approximately 5 weeks. If you go to a Passport Office, it’s shorter. My friend’s own took a week (she applied at a passport office). You can also apply for the emergency one if you are travelling soon.

Certificate received today!

Update- My application closed yesterday. My guess is she sent the certificate on Friday since yesterday was Saturday. Thanks to everyone that gave suggestions.

Thank you so much guys. I sent the email last night. I received a response just now. Apparently my agent didn’t receive the form which is weird because I got an automated response email after I sent the form. I have resent the form. Hopefully she will close it now and send my certificate.

Please can you give me the number you used to reach them? I can’t reach them with the number I have, it’s always saying all the agents are busy and the line will go off. My ceremony was over two weeks ago and I have not received my certificate. My application is not closed either.

How long is it meant to take to get the certificate in the mail? My ceremony was last week Tuesday and I remember the official said she was going to send it the next day. Is it too early to call IRCC?

How did you know your certificate was mailed on June 12th? My application is not closed yet but it was updated on June 15th that Citizenship ceremony is completed. My ceremony was June 13th.

You are only sending the oath form after the ceremony. The guarantor and references are for the passport application form. You need two references and one guarantor. The guarantor must be a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport.

I’m not sure about walk-ins but you can request a fast process for certificate and passport. You can get both before 6th. Just inform the official during registration. Make all the necessary plans before the ceremony date. Have your passport photograph ready, inform your guarantor and references...

Ceremony was done yesterday morning. Finally a a Canadian Citizen! The official said she was going to mail my certificate today if I send my oath of citizenship yesterday and I already did that.
