LONDON Visa Office Applicants....Lets connect here

Got our passports back yesterday (couriered from IRCC office to VFS London on Monday). They were sent to VFS on August 14th and had reached IRCC Office on August 17th. Roughly 7 weeks' processing time.

    FSW WORLDWIDE

I'd love to believe this. But sadly in my experience, when the workings of an organisation seem difficult to fathom, it's usually because they have no plan at all, and are taking it pretty much day by day.

GCMS Notes are useful only if you are one of the few with an especially complicated application, stuck due to some reason that you aren't aware of. They are completely useless particularly in the middle of the pandemic when most processing is pretty much on pause.

That's the tone of the article because it's primarily addressed to Canadians desperate to travel abroad. Any such vaccine passport is likely to be reciprocal ie non Canadians can enter the country with one as well. EU is close to concluding their vaccine passport program - most likely by June...

Got a response to my webform sent couple of weeks back. Exactly the same status that I found in my GCMS notes in January. VO: CPC Ottawa Eligibility: Passed Security: Not started Criminality: Not started (AOR details in my signature).

It that's the level of incompetence over there, then I'm gonna hope they accidentally approve a few FSW files thinking they are approving CEC.

Honestly, I've seen so many exceptions to this IP1/IP2 community wisdom that one can never be certain what these messages mean and how far gone the processing is based merely on the messages. However, the very fact that there was a change in status means someone opened the file. That, I think...

Nice, this gives me some hope that they have indeed restarted processing the paused FSW files.

No update since October when medical passed. I don’t expect anything to change for the next few months because they won’t prioritize FSW files until the travel restrictions are lifted.

Lifting restrictions now would be horrible PR for any government, regardless of any other matter. I don't think there's a chance of the travel restrictions getting lifted before the current wave dies out AND Canada is 50%+ vaccinated. In other words, probably June or July is the best case...

Once they cross the 50% of population mark (which should be around 60% of all adults), then the effects will start being visible. At 0.5% per day with no serious shortage or issue in sight, they are probably going to do that by July 1. A reasonable expectation for FSW draws to resume (and for...

Yup received it, just a reassurance message I think.

I had gone through a similar process of evaluation. I have an MBA from a top institute in India, but I thought it would be a good idea to get another one from Canada to transition into the workforce (and of course to build a Canadian network). From my research, Rotman and Ivey are head and...

Indeed. In retrospect, those few FSW draws from July to December feel like a boon. Hopefully the rest of the process won't have any hurdles besides the long delay, which is now inevitable.

I suspect the presence of a number of 'alt-accounts' here these days. Posting styles and content are remarkably similar to those of other accounts from the past and the purpose is obviously to troll. Be aware and don't engage much for improved mental health :)

Anyone who values a society built on socialist ideals and individual freedom will prefer Canada over most countries, and especially over the United States. But anyone who places a significant value on absolute money that one can earn (while ignoring every other social construct) will prefer to...

EAIEAPP means a system update and not a manual update, that's all. It's not a covid specific group. See here: https://www.justforcanada.com/gcms-notes-understand-guide.html (cntrl F EAIEAPP).
