You can check the permanent resident card processing status by linking your application in GCkey account. My application was approved on Nov 23. I am still waiting for the card. But it's true that you could not check the mail tracking.

Congratulations!!! It seems the processing of each case is unique. I have received the passport request on Sept 24, and also have submitted on Sept 25. But there is no news after that. My GCkey account still shows that the application is in progress. I was wondering when I will be able to have COPR.

Congratulations!!! I'm very happy to hear your good news! I think you're right, they may send you COPR first or both COPR and passport request simultaneously. The process has been disordered after the pandemic.

After decision made in ECAS on last Friday, I have no more updates. How long do I need to wait from DM to passport request? My medical result will be expired within ten days. I'm worried about that whether they will cancel the decision made and send me a refusal letter.

I think your parents' suggestion is reasonable. In fact, some applicants in Chinese wechat group have received passport request two days ago, and as I know, their decision made in ECAS was found on Sept 1 and Sept 2. Their applications are also processed by Hong Kong office.
